Coincidentally I listened to Martin Shaw’s telling of The Lindworm earlier today, and whilst I’ve heard it many times, I was particularly caught, not this time by the bath of milk as I have been previously, but of the bath of lye - the water of ashes - and of how healing it can be to do the ‘ashes work’ that Bly spoke of.
